Dream Theater 20th Anniversary Tour 2006

Dream Theater finally come to Singapore. They originally were going to come in 2002, but the gig was cancelled (maybe because of the terrorist situation). Anyhow a blinding show.

Last time I saw them was in 2000 at the London Apollo, with Porcupine Tree as the support act!

Another awesome show of musicianship, technical prowess and atmosphere, with some heavy riffs thrown in for good measure! The usual reinterpretation of songs from albums was fantastic, never just a rehash, note-for-note, of the recorded material. Jazz style’y!

A real rocking atmosphere last night and a good way to start the Lunar New Year!
