Bye-bye little sticks of 'anxious relief': Day1

Went without a smoke yesterday for 8 hours. That was during a whole day of teaching younglings at 2 schools.

One school, in fact, we had to introduce our public course in assembly. My colleague introduced the course and the sills to be learned. He would demonstrate skills such as body posture, volume, pace etc. And I would demonstrate the wrong way of doing them.

My colleague would demonstrate an introduction ‘Good afternoon everybody, my name is Mr Jeff’. The kids at this point were disinterested and making noise. He would hand me the microphone and I would say very loudly “SHUT-UP LAH, HELLO AH, OK AH, LAI, LAI, LAI, LAI”. They soon perked up as I made a complete fool of myself on stage.

Unfortunately, 5pm came and I had to burn Mr Marlboro and his family of skinny white chaps! Caned through 15!!! Bugger so much for those 8 hours.

Today I have quit again. Urge is strong. Actually trying to observe the effect the craving has on my mind, like watching myself outside myself. I can sort of sense the blood searching around my body for nicotine. Strange!

Bought those Nicorette patches just now. Although it was a slight struggle asking for them. I said very clearly “have you got any nicotine patches?” Went through 2 assistants who didn’t understand, until I said. “Quit smoking, can ah, got patches ah” . Bingo!!
There was a moment when I thought "smegging-hell 33 dollars for 7 patches", Then realised thats up against 77 dollars. Hehehehehe
