SCUBA Meditation
This week we have just completed a Public Speaking course at Singapore Chinese Girl’s School. It was wonderful to see the confidence of the girls improve from the first session to ultimately the last session and the competition. In fact two girls from my class won the top trophies!
We are practising proper throws with slams in Aikido now. Being thrown by Sensei is somehow addictive. I believe it may be that split second you are in mid air. Somehow it’s ‘no-self’ ‘no-time’ meditative state. Split second of pure peace!
I’ve also just realised why I love SCUBA diving so much. It’s more than just looking at pretty fish! The sense of flying in water is one thing, but also you have full concentration on your breath. The sound of your breath is very prominent, and also it’s important to be efficient and chilled with your breathing for longer submergence time. So with that focus and the sense of flying, everything else is a bonus!
