Mr Mentos

Posted by HelloAnother jam-packed day. Teaching in the morning in a catholic convent girl’s school!
I had one of those reflective moments, during one the classes, where I looked at myself outside of myself. I always introduce myself as ‘Mr Mentos’ when the students first stand-up and greet me. Mentos, as in the mint sweats, which we give out as incentives.

So I reflected and chuckled to myself thinking ‘I’m in a convent girl’s school where the students call me Mr Mentos, teaching public speaking, in Singapore.’ Who would of thought??

Was extremely happy in my afternoon class, a student guessed what my home city is called, based on one clue: Where did the Titanic sail from? This has never happened before! Even when I give further glues such as: Where did the British build the Spitfires during WWII and where does Craig David come from?

Just ended the day with Aikido class at the Singapore General Hospital. It’s a new class, so I’m helping out as a kind of ‘assistant’ for the beginners. As they say the best way to learn something is to teach it!!
